The Ninja coffee maker is slim and fits in a compact place on my counter next to my stove, under the cupboard. From first glance while unpacking, you can see it is very stylish with the black and stainless-steel design. The exterior doesn’t show fingerprints. \r\n\r\nThe system comes with a book of recipes, a quick start guide, and the owner’s guide. All are visually supported booklets with easy-to-follow directions. Be sure to follow the initial directions and run two Full Brew cycles before you drink anything you make. That ensures the machine is cleaned out properly. \r\n\r\nThe quick start guide then takes you through the different decisions to make with your first brew. The removable water reservoir is easy to fill and dishwasher safe. It has auto-metering so you know how much water you need to add based on the size you wish to brew. \r\n\r\nThere are 6 brew sizes (cup, XL cup, travel, travel XL, half carafe, full carafe). The carafe is great, and you can make a single cup with the drop-down cup plate so your hot beverage doesn’t splatter over the counter. \r\n\r\nYou get two baskets; one for tea and one for coffee. I love this so my tea doesn’t taste like coffee. When you insert the coffee or tea filter, the machine senses which one it is (smart basket recognition) and gives you the brew setting choices for that one. For tea: herbal, green, oolong, white and black. For coffee: classic, rich, over ice, cold brew, specialty. The baskets are easy to clean, but make sure you don’t toss out the tea insert when you dispose of your used tea bags into the garbage. You can also use a paper filter for coffee inside the filter holder. \r\n\r\nThe brew tracker (5 blinking bars) tells you how far along your beverage is and then shows END where the time is displayed when the process is complete. For my tea, it steeps in the basket, and then the brewed tea is released into the vessel below. For those who desperately need a cup of caffeine immediately, if using the full or half carafe size, you can press the drip stop button, grab a cup, put the carafe back in, then continue the rest of the brewing cycle. \r\n\r\nI have seen the cold brew prices on the shelves in stores and the prices assorted with them. This is a much better deal. I myself am a big fan of iced tea. I love that I can brew a cup and it isn’t watery despite all the ice I add. Cold brew takes 10 minutes in this system, unlike traditional cold brew that can take all night. \r\n\r\nDid I mention that it comes with a smart scoop (that conveniently attaches to the outside) that measure coffee on one side and tea on the other, and a fold-away hot frother for milk?! \r\n\r\nThere are a couple of neat options you should take into consideration when contemplating whether or not to purchase this item versus another:\r\n1. The auto-IQ option means that the system knows how much water to use, at which temperature, and for each size and brew type. \r\n2. There is a 24-hour programmable delay brew so you can schedule brewing ahead of time so it is ready when you are. \r\n3. With the clean function, the CLEAN light will illuminate after there is a buildup of hard water calcium. Follow the cleaning instructions in the care & maintenance section to address that. \r\n4. The unit will automatically power off after one hour of inactivity. That way, if you forgot to turn it off in the morning when you leave for work, it will be off when you get home at the end of the day. \r\n\r\nSo many options, it is sure to please the entire family, whether they are coffee or tea drinkers. The specialty brew option adds even more delectable concoctions: chai lattes, cappuchino, matchaccino, etc. The 40-recipe booklet that you receive is filled with awesome ideas. I have only had the product for a few days, and I have already made 3 of them. And it is so easy to clean. I guarantee this home brew system will be one of the most loved, and used appliances in your kitchen. You might even consider buying one for the office and get rid of the machine with the pricey cups. To me, it is totally worth the price and I am sure you will agree with me once you have had it for just a week.

Ninja Hot & Cold Brewing Station
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·quartzlady
Let me start out by saying that this is one great hot & cold brewing system.\r\nThis system comes with a 50 oz. (10 cup) glass carafe and has an intelligent warming plate. This brewer uses six brewing sizes. You can use it for a single size cup for 9.5 oz., an XL cup for 11.5 oz., a travel mug for 14 oz., and an xl multi-serve cup for 18.0z. You then can brew for ½ carafe or a full carafe. This unit will brew both coffee and tea. It has two separate washable filters for each type you use. You can use the washable filter or you can add a #4 paper filter to it. When you want to brew the smaller cup sizes, you have a pull down platform to place your cup on. On the left side of the brewing system, you had a detachable measuring spoon with guidelines on amounts of coffee or tea to use.\r\nWhen you go to brew, you dial which size you want to brew and then below that you select the type of brew. There are five brewing styles. The brewing styles are Classic, Rich, Over Ice, Cold Brew, & Specialty.\r\nSince I like my coffee cold, I first tried a ½ carafe with the Cold Brew Setting. It does take a minute or so for the brewer to get the correct temperature setting and to start the brewing cycle. The coffee came out not very cold, but slightly cold. I added ice and the ice did not melt at all. This turned out great. It had a very good taste. Then I put the rest of the cold brew in the refrigerator for later on.\r\nI next decided to try the xl cup size and set the brewer to Ove Ice. I pulled down the platform and my slightly large (in diameter} cup fit fine. I filled my cup with crushed ice (to see how well crushed ice would work) and set it to start. This worked great and I still had ice in the cup. When you use these type of settings, your coffee is brewed at a lower temperature setting. When you are using the single cup platform, this will prevent splattering.\r\nWith the smart basket technology, the brewer will recognize the basket being used and will display whether it is coffee or tea. You can also program your brewer for a delayed brewing cycle up to 24 hours in advance. \r\nThe water reservoir is located on the right side. It is very easy to remove, fill, and replace in your unit. When you select your tea type, the brewer will automatically know the temperature needed and the number of steps needed to make your brew. \r\nI thought that this would be a difficult brewer to figure out how to use but I found it to be very easy to operate and simple to use. When you turn the machine on, the sizes and the types of brewing lights up. All you have to do is to turn the dial to the appropriate cycle and size and you are ready to start the brewing.\r\nI am now anxious to learn how to make specialty coffees and teas. I am so glad that I chose this brewer and I love it already. Thank you Walmart Spark Reviewer!

I received this Ninja Hot & Cold Brew System Coffee Maker CP301 free through the Walmart Spark Review Program. New York City living is generally small apartment living so I am always looking for products that have more than one use. This product fits perfectly. It comes with everything except a coffee/tea cup, coffee, tea or travel mug. However, whether you want a cup or mug of coffee (or tea), just pull down the cup holder on the right inside of the coffee maker, after removing the carafe, read the outside water holder for how much water to add and read the quick start guide to determine how much coffee or tea to add to the filter, follow the directions and you will have a perfect cup or mug of coffee or tea. On the left side of the coffee maker there is a large measuring scoop which indicates the amount of coffee or tea to use again whether you are making a cup, mug, travel mug, one half a carafe or a full carafe. The water reservoir also shows you exactly how much water to use whether making a cup, mug, travel mug, one half carafe or full carafe. For a travel mug, simply remove the carafe and add the travel mug directly on to the warming plate and make your perfect travel mug of coffee or tea. There are two separate filters, one for coffee and one for tea. You can use a paper filter for coffee, however it is not necessary. You can also set a timer for your Ninja to have your coffee or tea ready for you when you wake up. This product also has a drip stop button so you can pause the one half carafe or full carafe brew cycle to pour your first cup. Simply press the drip stop button a second time to resume the brewing cycle. Your Ninja will note that the cycle is done once it has completed so there is no need to guess. Also in brewing my first carafe, I didn't add enough water, and my Ninja (which is all computerized) instead of saying done, said add water. If this isn't enough it also has on the left side in back, an integrated frother, together with a frother whisk to be used for either hot or cold milk frothing. Of course the entire brewing system can be used for hot or cold coffee or tea, just follow directions on your Ninja. Finally it also has a clean button. Just use white vinegar, press the clean button and in approximately one hour your Ninja will be clean. Also, the various parts can be washed in the dishwasher if you so desire. Also, it comes with recipes (my fave is raspberry ice tea). Not sure how much this costs, but it is definitely worth the price. Awesome Product!

Nice Home Brewing System
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Firan1
The Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System arrived by Fed Ex in a nice heavy brown cardboard box. The product box was well secured with plenty of packing tape. Once opened it was packed with corrugated flat cardboard panels and styrofoam. The brewer was placed in a large plastic bag and smaller parts were all taped or well secured for transport. It is made mainly of hard black plastic and specialized glass it seems sturdy and durable. The owners guide gives in detail the safeguards, parts list with diagrams, and instructions that are easy to use and understand the brewer. The control panel wording and display selections controls are large enough to read. The brewer comes with two permanent filters holders. The one that has a orange tab is for the coffee and the other one that has a green tab is for tea. The system is design to brew in different types of vessels a cup, travel mug, or use the glass coffee carafe. If doing cold coffee or tea add your ice inside the vessel first. It has a handy double sided scoop which gives the measurements of how much coffee grounds or loose tea to use. It is recommended to wash all the parts before using in warm soapy water or top rack of the dishwasher make sure to air dry or use a clean kitchen towel. The system needs to be primed before brewing coffee or tea. To prime run two full carafe cycles of just water and select the classic coffee setting. The brewer is taller and wider than a standard coffee maker place where it has plenty of room, especially if using the froth whisk located on the left side. Be careful when filling the water reservoir it is a little awkward and heavy when placing it back on the brewer. It does make more noise than a standard coffee maker and makes a slight ringing sound when brewing. The first brewed coffee was favorable and bold tasting, using Kona coffee grounds. It has a high end modern, stylish look and will upgrade any kitchen decor. It would make a nice gift for any occasion.

Coffee Never Tasted so Good
Reviewed on www.bestbuy.com·dammpls
The best thing about the Ninja is that my coffee tastes great. I got my first drip coffee maker (Hamilton Beach) about ten years ago, and all that time I thought that coffee just didn't have much flavor. Even most coffee I would get at a coffee shop didn't seem to have much flavor, so I never understood people who said they liked the taste of coffee.
When I decided it was time to upgrade, I chose the Ninja based on the many good reviews. I immediately noticed that the coffee it makes tasted great - even though I'm using the same amount of beans with a higher volume of water (more on that below). It definitely extracts more flavor from the coffee than my old machine did.
I'm also making more tea because the Ninja makes it so easy.
Only two minor issues:
1. I was getting a lot of water pooling under the water reservoir, which others have also noted. It was more of an annoyance than an actual problem, but it was solved completely by putting a standard rubber garden hose washer around the outlet (also something suggested by another reviewer). This is clearly a design issue that Ninja should fix, but it's no longer an issue for me. See photo.
2. Unlike most drip coffee makers that allow you to choose exactly how much water to use, with Ninja you're stuck with the six specific volumes of coffee they give you. I used to grind 40 grams of coffee beans every day and used 17 grams of H20 per gram of coffee = 23 fl oz. Ninja's 14 oz "travel mug" was too small and their "half carafe" uses about 32 oz of H2O. I didn't want to increase the amount of coffee beans I was using, so I tried sticking with 40 grams for the half carafe, even though that works out to a water to coffee ratio of more than 23. So I was pleasantly surprised at how good the coffee tastes, even though in theory it should be weaker, so I've stuck with that formula.

Before you say anything about...

Before you say anything about my short ownership I just returned a new Braun KF9050BK hot cold system because it didn't even bother to make any hot water to brew the coffee with leaving me with a pot of lukewarm coffee when I got up in the morning. That left me frustrated so I stopped by BB on my way home from work and purchased this unit.
I knew I'd done the right thing the very first time it turned on sending streams of steam rolling inside of the decanter. Of all of the coffee makers I've ever owned this one heats the water up to the highest temps of them all. The burner allows you to set it anywhere from 2 hrs, the default, up to 4 hrs keeping your coffee warm. Just be mindful that if you select an individual cup size on the dial the burner will not turn on when you brew as it expects a cup to be placed on the burner rather than the decanter.
Coffee tastes like coffee again even with it rapidly sending the water through the grounds. I'm using paper cones inside of the mesh basket and while the tops scrape the top of the housing when I close the door they remain upright through the brewing process. The frothing instrument on the side does seem a bit gimmicky but to each his own as I don't use it.
The front panel on the unit is intuitive and setting it up is very simple. It might take you a minute to see how the rotary knobs work but once you get that down its really quite easy to operate. Your selections are very easy to see as those indicators are well lit. Once you set them they will display each time you turn it on until you change them to something else.
Be sure to take a picture of the serial number on the outside of the back of the unit before you set it up as you will need it for the product registration. Overall I'm quite pleased with this purchase and I hope that it lasts a long time.

I loooove this! I am a cup-a-day drinker for the most part. I like to have iced coffee and hot coffee depending on my mood and this machine is great because it does both! I used to have a kuerig but I was tired of knowing the cups would go to a landfill and honestly the coffee wasn’t that great in my opinion. I was scared because of some of the reviews but I’m really happy I bought this machine and on sale too. Some reviews said it leaks everywhere.... but I haven’t had any issues. I never refill the water by taking the canister out. I always refill by pouring my Brita water into it which I think helps prevent that situation. I’ve never had the water leak. Additionally some of the reviews said that the grounds get in the coffee. I bought coffee filters rather than using the one it comes with and I haven’t had issues. Granted, I do drink only about a cup or two at a time but I have used the half caraf setting with no grounds issues as well using the disposable filters. I bought this knowing I didn’t drink much at a time so the grounds issue probably wouldn’t happen to me. I’ve had mine for about a month or so now and love it! The frothing attachment works good but I don’t use it a lot. It’s nice to have for when I’m feeling fancy though :) The coffee tastes good hot, and the cold brew setting tastes so much better than when I used to try to make it with already hot brewed coffee. So good. I like having this since I work at home now too - no more trips to buy coffee in the morning. I haven’t tried the tea setting but I do drink tea at night so I might try it sometime. If you like having iced coffee and hot coffee I think it’s worth it!!

I am more of a tea drinker, while my better half will have coffee only. This wonderful Ninja Hot & Cold Brewed System suits us both. It was fairly easy to set up and use, easy to understand instructions and looks great on a kitchen countertop. The machine stands about 15 inches tall and while it fits nicely under the upper row of cabinets, you want to move it out during brewing cycle as not to damage the upper cabinets by the steam coming out in the process.\r\n\r\nWe started out with a single brew option and then moved on to the other options that are plenty. We were able to use the included measuring spoon for both coffee and tea. This machine uses a permanent filter which translates into less waste going into the landfill and I absolutely love this feature. With this machine, I can use either loose tea that is my first preference or the bags. Either way my tea comes out tasting great. What's more, it is dishwasher safe that cuts down on the maintenance. \r\n\r\nOverall, this Ninja Hot & Cold Brewed System machine is ergonomic, user friendly, versatile with the multiple options that saves you numerous trips to a local coffee shop, and it looks awesome. Highly recommended to all coffee and tea drinkers.

I am absolutely thrilled with my Ninja coffee and tea brewer, it is the best way to make your coffee in the morning. You can make iced coffee and tea, one cup hot coffee or tea or a full carafe. The system can be set to start before you get up and that is a plus. It has one basket for coffee, one for tea and a scoop on the side to measure either coffee or tea. Now THIS is my favorite, you can make specialty coffee or tea and there is a mixer attached to the side that you pull out to make milk frothy. I am so impressed by this coffee/tea maker that I would give it more stars if they had more :) I love specialty coffee and the unit comes with an instruction book that shows how to make a few different ones, plus specialty teas. This is without a doubt the most amazing coffee/tea brewer I have ever seen! High quality, multi function, easy to use and the design is awesome. So easy to use, the instructions are very clear and once you taste your first cup you are hooked. Christmas is coming up, guys get one for your wife and gals get one for your husband, this is a gift that will be remembered and loved! I recommend the Ninja system to everyone.

I bought the hot and cold brew several weeks ago. There's many features I really like. \r\nFrother, works really well, easy to clean up, works on hot or cold didn't foam up very well. I like how it folds out of sight saving some room if you're not using your machine.\r\nCoffee pot, it's metal and insulated! You can make a half a pot or a whole pot and it stays hot for hours. Even by the end of the day it's still warm. It doesn't drip and it's wide mouth and easy to clean.\r\nGrinds basket, no need for paper filters, I think it actually works better without them, doesn't drip getting it into the sink, slides in and out 8f the machine easily.\r\nSettings, easy to use, measuring cup has recommended amounts printed on it and it has a place on the side of the machine for storage.\r\nI also love the recipe book! I prefer unflavored strong coffee with cream most of the time and this machine does it great. The recipe book is great for a special treat. I'm still experimenting with brands that work best, the 3 I've tried so far tasted better and I had less mess and dripping to clean up.

I had a later model that died a little after a year. I was very sad because they are not cheap, and I've had Mr Coffees that have lasted me years. But I enjoy the flavor of the coffee that it brews so much that I decided to give it another chance. Couldn't be happier. I live the tea functions, and most of all, I live the cold brew! I used the over ice function on my old machine occasionally, but the cold brew function is just plain superior. The design of the filter cup area is also better. Easy to clean, and doesn't fall out when you lift up the carafe like could happen in the previous model. And lastly, the foamer. I've the foamer at my in-laws house and I've used my sister's before, but they were so sub-par I was never interested in getting on myself. The one attached to the machine is AMAZING! I use heavy cream and create a thick thick foam/whip to on top of my coffee. I also like to add a little sweetener to it sometimes. It's delicious and so powerful. I brag about this bad boy to everyone I know, and would definitely buy it again in a heart beat.

This is my second Ninja coffee maker and this one is even better than the one I had for about 7 years. The stainless steel pot has a wider opening allowing for easier cleaning, I love that there's a separate filter basket for making tea, and the coffee maker automatically knows which filter basket is being used - coffee or tea. I love the versatility of size options (regular cup, large mug, travel size, half pot, full pot.) It has options for classic brew, rich brew, cold brew, iced coffee. It's super easy to use with the options lit up as soon as the power button is touched. It wets the grounds initially, pauses to let the water soak in, then finishes the brewing process for a delicious cup of coffee. There's also a milk frother built in, which I haven't yet tried (you have to heat the milk separately.) You literally can make any kind of coffee beverage you want, using the included recipe booklet. Iced Coffee or Hot Coffee, Iced Tea or Hot Tea, big mug or small cup, it does it all. Really invest in this coffee maker it’ll be worth it. The money you’ll be saving from buying drinks elsewhere, you can make at home and what’s good is you can do it with whatever coffee or tea of your choosing. Super easy to clean the filters, so easy to start and get it going even though it’s a big high tech it is definitely not hard at all to work it, the booklet is great and shows you how to make custom drinks, how to clean it, the scoop has a measured engraved on it so you know how much scoops for the drink you’re making. The coffee machine does pretty much does what it markets - it makes coffees and teas to various sizes, strengths and types ascribed to it. The end products of those options are good not great. \r\nThe machines flexibility which will attract buyers; however, in reality, is a rather slow process serving several guests with varying choices. By the time a half dozen were served their beverage of choice, the others had finished dessert with no beverage - not good. Still needed another coffee/tea machine to compensate for this rather slow process. Tried to accelerate the process using paper filters rather than the gold filter. This caused the no drip function to not function properly. Several times coffee dripped excessively on the warmer plate when making single cups using the special coffee feature. This did not occur when using the gold filter \r\nhowever. \r\nLikely will keep the machine and would recommend it, with the limitations noted, of this otherwise feature rich product.\r\nTwo other negatives - this is my second machine. The first had a malfunctioning warmer plate. My current machine reservoir leaked one time. Has not leaked since, so that may have been improperly setting the reservoir in the base.

This is the best purchase I have made in a long time! I love everything about this machine. First, and of most importance, it makes GREAT coffee. I wasn't sure about the carafe but have found that it keeps my coffee hot for over 2 hours. Not having a hotplate also keeps the last cup of coffee just as good as the first without baking it down to tar. The water reservoir is very convenient and easy to fill. The controls are easy to learn and very intuitive. And then as a huge added bonus - - afternoon tea is SO easy. It steeps the tea nicely (and even asks what TYPE of tea to ensure it's steeped to perfection). I also love waking up to coffee all ready to pour using the timer. I've been using this for about 2 months and can't think of one thing negative about it! If you want a great coffee/tea maker that's easy to use, I'd highly recommend this one!

Also there are bars that start and show how much more time is needed until the coffee is done . There is a clock on the coffee maker . Also it comes with a cup to measure how much coffee is needed to pour inside the coffee pot . Mainly I like how I can put fresh water every single time and don’t have to worry about the tank sucking in coffee beans and not working . I had the Bunn coffee machine and switched to the Ninja and it’s the best decision I made .

We did some re-search on coffee machines that can brew for tea, ice coffee, regular coffee and Ninja came out to be the best one to buy. This coffee machine has plenty of options to use when making coffee or tea. When you brew "rich coffee" the taste comes out amazing! The option I love the most on the coffee unit is that I can re warm my coffee. I do not like to microwave my coffee because the taste does not taste the same! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to buy a new coffee machine and plus the price is great compared to others!

We needed a new coffee...

We needed a new coffee maker after both our main & backup makers died. I did a lot of research and this maker got excellent reviews. While I've never paid this much for a maker, I'm glad I did...it makes a perfect pot of coffee, keeps it hot enough even 2 hours later with the warmer, and the single cup of coffee or tea feature is awesome! Haven't used the frother yet but that's just an extra for me, not the reason I purchased this Ninja. My only complaint is I wish the pot was bigger and the opening to clean it is only big enough for the smallest of hands, even mine are too big. Other than that, we love it!

This brew system is excellent. We have only used it for coffee but it has tea making capabilities also. It uses less coffee than our old coffee maker and produces a rich, flavorful coffee. We have had it for 4 months now and love it. We use the automatic timer and wake to fresh brewed java every morning. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm and the best part is the frother. Heat up some milk in the microwave and froth it before adding your coffee- soooo good! For extra good coffee, add a piece of a dark chocolate square to the milk, warm it in the microwave, froth and have an excellent chocolate latte.

I love this coffee/tea maker.\r\nJust the mere fact that it IS BOTH a coffee AND a tea maker makes it perfect!\r\nI love being able to make one cup or a full carafe.\r\nEverything is so absolutely easy, it's wonderful!\r\nCleaning the parts and pieces couldn't be easier!\r\n\r\nRegular coffees and teas, specialty coffees and teas, all EASY. And TASTY!\r\n\r\nObviously I couldn't be more pleased! \r\nI am grateful that this products exists and works as advertised. Thank you!\r\nK

Look, I was one of those guys that was like, coffee is coffee. No fancy coffee maker is going to change the way hot water runs over grinds.\r\nI was so wrong. This coffee maker does just make good coffee. It makes "GREAT" coffee. There is a noticible difference in the taste and boldness of the coffee. \r\nPlus all the setting makes it very easy to make iced coffee and other speciality coffee drinks.\r\nThis coffee maker was well worth me being wrong. LOL :D

The coffee taste amazing

I got another brand expresso/coffee machine few months prior to purchasing the Ninja Coffee Maker. I got very disappointed with the quality and durability of the Other product, therefore I returned and I got this Ninja Coffee Maker instead. I can say that was the best thing that happened to my breakfast mornings! The coffee taste really amazing, very rich, even when you choose the classic mode. It’s easy to clean and to setup as well. I highly recommend!

I purchased this last month after our original Ninja was the victim of a power surge. Has all the features I liked from the other Ninja but makes a much better cup of coffee. The coffee is hot and very rich and flavorful. I love the built in frother, never enjoyed making a latte as much as I do now! I definitely recommend this product. As someone who drinks several cups of coffee every day, I want to enjoy every cup so I can definitely justify the price.

I just recently purchased this brew system. It looks great and it’s easy to use. I love how quickly it brews the coffee. However, there is one downside for me. The carafe does not sit on a burner/warmer so the coffee gets cold very quickly. I don’t know why ninja failed to add this feature considering every single coffee maker has it…and for good reason! Whether you make a half or full carafe, when you go back for a second cup of coffee you still want it to be hot like your first cup. That’s not the case here. In half an hour, the coffee has cooled enough that my second cup is only warm. It’s so disappointing!!! No heating element is the only thing preventing this brewer from being perfect and for that reason, I don’t think this brewer is worth its hefty price tag.More
