Inventory invisible, unable to see other inventories and when crafting from creative mode items and their associated weight are in inventory but invisible. Also unable to spawn items into the game via console commands.

The game wont let you activate keep inventory for some reason, so what you can do is add this mod called the inventory pet mod. This mod, along with adding a bunch of cool and useful pets, adds a gravestone pet. Just feed it like 10 bones and as long as it is in your inventory, if you die, you should respawn with all your stuff intact.
