The business that wants to build this site is thinking of including a phone number on the site but not an email address because they are saying that the email address may cause them to receive spam and also many inquiries from people that are not serious. Do you think that it would be okay to include a phone number but not an email address?
We run a small online business from New Zealand, and use a US warehouse to ship to our North American customers. Like the poster hassles above, they ship using USPS, sometimes to the billing address, sometimes a couple of days after the order has been processed, and so on.
We Google the name, phone, address (ship and bill) and email of questionable buyers and sometimes use reverse directories. We used Zillow to look up home values.
Every legit site needs a contact page. The email address listed with the WHOIS info doesn't often work, is checked maybe twice a year or the account is filled with spam, it's not reliable.
